Established by Mike Kunkel in 1997, Natural Garden Organics is a second generation family owned business dedicated to improving plant and soil health with the highest quality natural and organic fertilizers and amendments.
The foundation of Natural Garden Organics came about while working as a teenager on a farm and using traditional chemical controls. During one specific time of spraying chemicals in 1993 to kill bugs the thought came to Mike “there must be a better, safer way” and thus the idea was born to establish a business to provide a more natural way to operate.
So, the quest began to learn about alternative methods and products. While searching for and learning about a different way of doing things Mike discovered Howard Garrett on the radio and began listening weekly to his program while also reading and gaining knowledge on natural products and practices.
In March of 1997 Natural Garden Organics was born and Mike bought his first products from Organic + Nursery in Waco. As time went on Mike became more involved with others in the industry and worked directly with Gary DeMasters of Maestro-Gro and Sabino Cortez founder of Erath Earth and gained invaluable knowledge from them.
Natural Garden Organics has remained committed through the years of providing quality products at a fair price and look forward to continuing to grow for generations to come.
